Handy Notice-to-Mariners Update

The Canadian Coast Guard offers a very useful service that is little used by cruisers—a weekly update of navigational "Notice to Mariners" delivered to you by e-mail. Go to the Coast Guard's web page (here); then in the left-hand column click on "subscribe to electronic updates." You enter an e-mail address and create a password; then you are asked to check off which charts you want to know about.

Port Dalhousie Invitation

Letter received by the GLCC:

Hello,

One of our Directors brought my attention to your organization and asked if we had made it known to cruisers that at the Dalhousie Yacht Club we will be opening our new and improved restaurant, with two new chefs who are culinary school graduates and bring with them good experience in a number of fine dining restaurants in the Niagara Peninsula.

We welcome all cruisers to DYC this summer and promise you a dining experience you won't forget!
