Lifeline Newsletter
Your contributions to the Lifeline are welcome.
Please submit your materials or story ideas to Garth Kriewall, Lifeline Editor at editor.glcc.gk@gmail.com, the GLCC Office glcclub@att.net. Items are published at the team's discretion and timeline. They may or may not make it to print and will be edited if deemed necessary.
Article / story (text) submissions should be in Word document format (.doc). Use single-space format. Do not embed photos in the body of your copy or email. See photo submissions below. If referencing another article on the GLCC website or internet*, please indicate where the link is to be placed.
Submissions are due the last day of the prior month (IE: February articles are due January 31)
Photo submissions should be digital .jpg format, at the highest possible resolution (300 dpi or higher). If you have an option to choose a photo format, always choose ".jpg". If your phone lists options for sending a digital file, choose "full size" or the equivalent (not small, or medium, etc.). DO NOT embed photos in the text of your Word document or email. Please send photos as attachments if emailing. For large quantities, you may share using Dropbox, Google or another sharing option. Mailing a USB with photos is acceptable, keeping in mind the timeline it takes to get to us. If referencing a photo on the GLCC website or internet* with a link, please indicate where the photo link is estimated to be placed within the body of text.
*Submitted photos/referenced articles must have authorization giving credit to the person/entity who took the picture/wrote the article... unless it is your own photo/text or under Public Domain/Creative Commons. It is also important to give us names to the faces in photos so we may correctly identify people for publication or future postings.
Cruising Logs: If you have a cruising log that you would like to share, please see The Founders Award for criteria. You may qualify for special recognition for your cruising story.
