Special Note: For 2026 the GLCCSchool webinar Cruising Lake Huron has new presenters and has been completely updated.

Lake Huron has much to offer any Great Lakes cruiser. Whether you are cruising to the Blue Water Bridge, Presque Isle, Kincardine, or the Straights of Mackinaw, time spent on this Great Lake is time well spent.  Join Rob and Kelly Hillman in their GLCCSchool webinar Cruising Lake Huron, as they cover the ports and anchorages surrounding the main lake, Saginaw Bay and the Straits of Mackinaw. More than just a travelogue, Rob & Kelly’s webinar will offer insight and insider tips only a cruiser with their experience can share.

With retirement came sailing and cruising for Detroit area GLCC members Rob and Kelly Hillman. By keeping their Hunter 40.5 Windshadow moored in Presque Isle Harbor, they are always poised for another Lake Huron adventure. In addition to the ten years, they have spent on Windshadow Rob & Kelly have also cruised along the Atlantic seaboard, the Intercostal Waterway and the Caribbean. As new GLCCSchool presenters they are eager to share their cruising experiences with you.
