Office Leadership Update from the Commodore

Dear Great Lakes Cruising Club Members,

After many long years of dedicated service to the Great Lakes Cruising Club, Yvonne Murray has announced her retirement from her role as Club Office Manager for the GLCC.

For nearly two decades, Yvonne has been the steady and welcoming presence behind the scenes, helping to ensure the smooth operation of the Club and providing exceptional support to our members, officers, and volunteers. Her professionalism, commitment, and deep knowledge of the Club have made a lasting impact on our organization and contributed greatly to its success.

Throughout her tenure, Yvonne has been much more than a Club Manager. She has been a trusted resource, a problem solver, and a valued friend to countless members and officers. Her dedication and hard work have helped strengthen the Great Lakes Cruising Club and support our mission of promoting safe and enjoyable cruising on the Great Lakes. 

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the entire membership, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Yvonne for her many years of outstanding service. We wish her a long, healthy, and rewarding retirement filled with fair winds, following seas, and many new adventures.  Yvonne’s last day will be December 31, 2026.  We look forward to celebrating her time and leadership with the GLCC when we gather at our upcoming AGMM this October. 

As Yvonne begins this well-deserved new chapter, we are pleased to announce that Lynn Blanchard will be increasing her role at the Great Lakes Cruising Club as our new Club Manager. Lynn will be working closely with Yvonne during the transition period to ensure a seamless handoff of responsibilities. We look forward to Lynn’s continued tradition of excellent member service.
