Great Lakes Foundation (GLF) was formed to provide grants to entities involved in the preservation, betterment and use of the Great Lakes. Membership in the GLF is automatic for GLCC members and is open to anyone who wishes to contribute to this great cause.

Recently, the GLF Board of Directors approved grants to the following organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to further the goals and objectives of the GLF.  Please consider making a donation to the GLF and help us carry on this important work.

Canadian Lighthouses of Lake Superior

Nature Conservancy of Canada - Vidal Forests and Shoreline

Thousand Islands Association

One very important note to add here is that our $20,000.00 to the Nature Conservancy of Canada was matched in value 3 times, by the North American Wet Lands Conservation Act Grants Program managed by both the U.S. & Canadian governments. Therefore the total value of our donation will be  $80,000.00. Talk about getting the best, "bang for your buck!"  The two other Grants, while smaller in amount were deeply appreciated and will be used for 'infrastructure,' needs. Please keep the Great Lakes Foundation in mind when considering donating to your favorite charities.
