GLCC 2026 Sturgeon Bay Meet & Greet
On June 23rd a gathering of the Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin (M-72.5) area Great Lakes Cruising Club (GLCC) members was held at the Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club (SBYC). Port Captain Walt Grabowski and Kristin Grosse hosted the event, concurrent with the SBYC sailors’ tradition of the Burning of the Socks event. SBYC Commodore George Keeler gave a private welcome and some history of the club. It was a great way to get to know each other and have some fun with fellow boaters of the SBYC. Attendees enjoyed the picnic buffet, sock burning ceremony and cannon salute.
