June 29, 2017

On June 9th. 2017, Great Lakes Cruising Club members; Commodore Mead and spouse Joann, Vice Commodore Barzyk and spouse Patti, Past Commodore Wallbank and spouse Mariette and Office manager Yvonne Murray had the honor of attending the formal dedication of the Dr. James C. Acheson Maritime Gallery, in the recently renovated and opulent Port Huron Carnegie Museum. Most of the second floor now displays photos and artifacts so dear to Jim, and chronically portrays the rich Maritime history that has evolved in Port Huron over many decades.

Jim received this esteemed recognition in grateful appreciation of his long term affiliation with the museum, both public, private, for his philanthropy benefitting the museum and his steadfast support of the entire Port Huron community over his lifetime.

Congratulations Past Commodore James C. Acheson on this wonderful accomplishment.
