Bill Bailey honored with Award of Appreciation

At this year’s Annual General Membership meeting, the GLCC Board of directors proudly presented an Award of Appreciation to Rear Commodore (Ret.) Bill Bailey. 

I was honored to present the award to Bill Bailey for his years of vital contributions and dedicated service to the Club. Bill joined the Club in 2013, soon taking on the role of Port Captain for Elk Rapids, MI (M-7) and Director in 2018. He advanced to Rear Commodore for Region 39 in 2019, and expanded his responsibilities by also serving as Rear Commodore for Region 27 in 2023 effectively overseeing the eastern side of Lake Michigan and northwest Lake Huron. 

Since joining, Bill has participated in nearly every Rendezvous event and has contributed to numerous projects —far too many to list. His commitment to engaging and representing members throughout his Region has been a standout feature of his leadership. Bill now brings his valuable expertise to the GLCCSchool team, where he is certain to continue making meaningful contributions.
