The June 12-14 Lake Erie Rally was a fun-filled Pirate Weekend with an early-bird pizza party kicking things off on Thursday evening.

Attendees enjoyed warm lake breezes, despite a few pesky mayflies, along with plenty of camaraderie and fellowship with fellow boaters. The weekend was packed with pirate games, great food and beverages, and plenty of opportunities to relax, laugh, and enjoy time together on the lake.

The Port Captain's meeting provided a chance to share ideas and discuss ways to recruit new members and grow the organization.

Of course, no Pirate Weekend would be complete without a themed costume contest, and attendees embraced the spirit with some creative and entertaining pirate attire. A huge thank you goes to Dick Huberty, former Rear Commodore for the Lake Erie Region, for donating the prizes for the games and costume contest: fun Great Lakes Cruising Club swag that everyone enjoyed.

Overall, it was a wonderful weekend filled with friendship, fun, food, and a little pirate mischief.
