Saturday (and Sunday) Activities

Niagara Falls is a wonderful destination with hundreds of things to see and do. Some may want to take a walk along the Niagara River Parkway in front of the hotel enjoying different views of the falls. Some may want to explore the kitschy Clifton Hill with its old-fashioned attractions like wax museums and haunted houses. Some may want to leave their money behind in the huge Fallsview Casino. Or, you may want to hop in their car and take a scenic drive along the Niagara River Parkway to the beautiful small community of Niagara on the Lake; famous for its numerous wine estates and its attractive downtown shopping streetscape. If you have your passport, you can walk across the Rainbow Bridge to the United States and have a look at the falls from the Niagara Falls State Park and the pleasant parkland on Goat Island.

There are also several “must see” paid attractions a short stroll from our hotel. You don’t need to decide right away.  We will be providing more details and ticketing information on the following list of activities at the event. Some of these will be governed by weather conditions although early May in Niagara Falls is usually quite pleasant. You can enjoy all Niagara Falls has to offer when you first arrive on Friday right through to your departure on Sunday.

Voyage to the Falls Boat Tour (~$37 CAD)

The 20-minute Voyage to the Falls boat tour, sailing from Niagara Falls, Canada, brings guests on the journey of a lifetime. Enjoy stunning views of the Niagara Gorge, American Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls, and come face-to-face with the famous Canadian Horseshoe Falls. Feel the thundering roar, awesome power, and amazing mist.

Journey Behind The Falls (~$18 CAD)

To stand at the heart of Niagara, you’ll first need to descend 125 feet and explore 130-year-old tunnels through the bedrock, but you’ll feel the thunderous vibration of the Horseshoe Falls long before you see them. The observation deck at the foot of this 13-storey-tall wonder will leave you breathless (and maybe a little bit wet), but don’t forget the viewing portals cut straight through the rock, offering a once-in-a-lifetime view of one-fifth of the world’s fresh water crashing down in front of you.

Niagara Power Station (~$32 CAD)

From the most towering turbine to the tiniest detail, uncover fascinating stories hidden within the historic Niagara Parks Power Station. New this year, descend 180 feet in a glass-paneled elevator and explore the 2,200-foot long tunnel, leading to an observation deck at the river's edge. Explore the first major power plant on the Canadian side of the Niagara River with immersive exhibits, restored artifacts and interactive storytelling.
