Wild Wild West to come to the 2022 Lake Erie Rally
Middle Bass Island, Ohio (E-18.5) / June 16–June 19, 2022

Get ready for some “Rootin’-tootin’, gun slingin’, saloon dancin’, wild ropin’, all out western fun” when the “Wild Wild West’’ comes to the Lake Erie Rally June 17–19 on Middle Bass Island (E-18.5)! Do you remember the Alamo? Do you remember Lonz Winery? They will be one in the same this fabulous weekend! Wild West traditions (line dancing, steer roping, gun fighting and more), along with delicious western food and all the fixins’ will delight all your senses! Specialty coffees and drinks will be served by our very special Miss Adventuress Jane, who will gladly accept your gold nuggets for payment in her fine establishment! Wear your ‘’best western gear” and dance the night away with live country western music! A special appearance will be made by Lusty Lora and Dead-Eye Dave, as they teach two popular wild west line dances. Early arrivals, June 16, can join in on the Thursday night “Round-Up’’ pizza party and trivia contest! Get your cowboy hat and boots ready for a weekend you won’t want to miss! Cost: $115 USD/pp

Friday, June 17
1200-1600 Registration / Dressing of Boats - Get your ‘horses’ ready to party! (Marina Shelter House)
1800-1830 ‘Kick the dust up’ starter - Nachos, cheese & jalapenos (Lonz Plaza)
1830-2030 Supper - ‘All git-out’ taco bar fixins’; beef, chicken, perch, corn or flour tortillas, Mexican rice, black beans, shredded cheese, Holy Guacamole, sour cream, cilantro, pico de gallo, salsa taquera, salsa verde, thinly sliced iceberg lettuce. ‘Heavens to Betsy’ S’mores Bar; honey graham crackers, chocolate graham crackers, marshmallow sauce, caramel sauce, dark chocolate sauce, bananas, strawberries, whipped cream, candied bacon. Saturday, June 18 (Lonz Shelter House)
0600-1400 Breakfast (Island Grind Cafe/Lonz PressHouse)
Use your gold nuggets to purchase your coffees, specialty drinks, breakfast sandwiches, and any of the menu items and merchandise for sale in The Island Grind Cafe. Each gold nugget is valued at $1, being rounded up or down to the nearest dollar amount. There are a total of 20 gold nuggets ($20) for your use anytime the cafe is open throughout this weekend.
0900-0945 Flag raising, blessing of the Fleet - Color guard salute and singing of USA and Canadian Anthems, followed by announcements of the day’s events
1000-1100 Port Captains’ Meeting, hosted by Jim Ehrman - No dress whites required (Lonz Plaza)
1100-1330 Lunch on your own
1330-1530 Wild West games and OK Corral showdown - Skills will be tested, and prizes awarded for those who dare to take on these challenges! Shooting, roping and tossing skills will not be “required” (but may come in handy!), just a healthy desire to have some wild west fun! Be sure to come give a ‘hoot and a holler’ for all our cowpokes! (Lonz Shelter House Grass Lawn)
1530-1730 Back to the boat/bunkhouse to rest up and get ready for dinner, dancing, and costume judging. Prizes to the top 3! Use your imagination, history, and wild ideas!

Saturday Evening
1730-1830 Photo op - Get pics with our saddled stallion and some rowdy looking characters! ‘Hold yer horses...supper’s coming’. Mexican Street Corn popcorn, peanuts (Lonz Shelter House)
1830-2230 Supper - Finger lickin’ BBQ brisket, pulled Pork, BBQ chicken, baked beans, cheesy potatoes, stallion slaw, glazed carrots, succotash, cornbread & rolls with honey butter, ‘Bless yer Heart’ sweet endings: homeland pies or tarts (Southern Pecan, Apple & Cherry), Beverage service: Sweet tea, Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Mountain Dew, bottled water

Dancin’ the Night Away - There will be live country western music with hits and fun tunes to dance to. Line dance with Lusty Lora and Dead Eye Dave! Texas 2-step round the floor!

Sunday, June 19
0600-? Breakfast (The Island Grind Cafe)
Use your remaining gold nuggets (or cash) to get your specialty coffee and sweet treats for the ride back home. Fond Farewells!

Dockage: We will have a block of docks reserved at the Middle Bass Island (MBI) State Park Marina under the name GLCC. After May 1, you must call the State Park at 419-285-0311 to reserve your dock in the GLCC block. Be sure to tell them you are with GLCC. Use your credit card to hold your reservation. Dockage rates: $1.75/ft (get a 10% discount with Golden Buckeye Card)

Lodging: There are cabin, room, and condo rentals on MBI. If you are interested in renting an accommodation for this weekend, please contact Lori ASAP. We will get you connected to the best place to fit your needs. These fill up by January, so call early!

Transportation: Check Miller Ferry at Catawba Island, Ohio online at MillerFerry.com or call 1-800-500-2421 for transportation to MBI. Current pricing is $10.50 for an adult one way and your vehicle is $25.50 one way. No Wednesday Trips! Reserve vehicle up to 2 weeks prior to departure. Prices USD.
Shuttle bus ride from dock: $2/person each way. Multiple ride schedules 
4 - 4 person golf cart rentals: $15/2hours. (Call Lori to reserve a golf cart ahead) 
Bicycle rentals: $5/hour or $15/day from the State Park Marina
Dockage rates: $1.75/ft (get a 10% discount with Golden Buckeye Card)
