Lake Superior is a cruiser’s dream and many of us dream of cruising there. A successful trip to the Big Lake begins with building a solid knowledge base.  This GLCCSchool webinar package will help you do just that.

Isle Royale represents the ultimate in wilderness cruising and Niels Jensen’s presentation of Wilderness Cruising to Lake Superior’s Isle Royale is the best place to learn why.  Isle Royale is a 45-mile long island groups located next to the Canadian border in western Lake Superior and it is one of the most desired Great Lakes cruising destinations. Join Niels in this lively presentation that includes sailing directions, weather consideration, must-see anchorages, wilderness sailing preparedness, safety recommendation and much, much more.

Niels Jensen is a veteran cruiser, a frequent GLCCSchool presenter and an active member of the GLCC.  Niels is currently our GLCC Treasurer and is a past GLCC Commodore. Niels and his wife Vicki keep their boat Freelance on Lake Superior in Bayfield, Wisconsin.

Dave Carr has been sailing in Northen Ontario since he was 13 and cruising since his thirties. Dave and his wife, Carla live near Midland, Ontario where they keep their boat, Quo Vadis V.  Since 1990, Dave and Carla have cruised Lakes Huron, Erie and Superior, and have gained considerable knowledge of Georgian Bay, the North Channel and Lake Superior.
