New Blog addressing Great Lakes levels and shoreline issues

I just wanted my fellow cruisers to be aware of a new blog I'm initiating.  It will deal primarily with Great Lakes level and shoreline issues.  It should be of interest to those who own lakefront property or like to cruise without running out of water in their favorite marinas.  Clearly, the factors affecting lake levels are poorly understood. 

We've cruised Lakes Michigan, Huron and Erie and owned lakefront property on Lake Erie for 20 years.  In that time, I've learned  that nature wins and that governmental efforts to "fix things" and  "educate people" sometimes are what needs some fixing.  Past failures make it clear that education should be a multidirectional process.  Hopefully, the internet transfer of information will help fix that.  I dont want to have an anti-government rant, but rather, provide a little nudging where required.   I'm from the public and I'm here to help. 

We live in Sandusky and sail out of the Sandusky Sailing Club.  For the last decade, I've been involved in the property owner's actions to prevent the overreaching of the ODNR with respect to shoreline boundary.  However, I'm equally (or more) passionate about the restoration/protection of Ohio's public beaches.

Darla and I are currently anxiously anticipating the spring launch of the sailing vessel Anticipation.  Hope to see you on the water.

blogspot.com is a good service, and you probably don't want to switch now. However, I don't know if you're aware that the GLCC provides free blog space to all members as a benefit. If you look on your My Account page under History/blog and click on View Recent Blog Entries, you can go to a space where you can create your own multiple blogs.

These blogs are, of course, not behind the member log-in, so anyone you give the address can get to them.
