The GLCCSchool’s 2023-2024 winter school season is coming to an end and the results are spectacular. The School has smashed records in total offerings, and registrations.

     Check out the numbers:

  • Courses offered: 45, up 55% from the 29 offered the year before.
  • Total registrations: 1,462, up 165% from 551 last year (this reflects registrations through March 27 courses for the 2024 season).
  • GLCC registered attendees: 1,144 (As of March 27; it does not reflect unique GLCC members, i.e., a GLCC member may have attended more than 1 webinar).

The numbers reflect both the content value and quantity of classes offered through the GLCCSchool.

The School also has just added a few more classes including:

  • History and Future of the Soo Locks (April 18); and
  • Up from the Briny Depths – history and intrigue relating to sunken steamers (more than 70) carrying salt to market (April 24). Both are presented by Ric Mixter, a well-known Great Lakes historian.
  • Cruising the Great Loop – Part 2 (April 23) presented by veteran Loopers Deb and Mike Hervey.

Did you miss any or perhaps did not have an opportunity to check out the offerings? No problem. Recordings are available until Aug. 24. Just click Recordings and find webinars that are of interest and importance to you before the cruising season begins.

Don’t forget to use your GLCC membership code for free access.
