Wednesday in GLCCSchool: Fiberglass Repair Techniques

dancline - April 8, 2015

Your fiberglass repair project might not be as extensive as the one shown in the accompanying photo, but everyone with a glass boat should have some understanding of basic fiberglass repair techniques. Instructor Joe Parker has worked in all aspects of the marine industry and was a member of the Gougeon Brothers technical team for twenty four of those years. On Wednesday, April 8, at 8:00 PM Eastern/7:00 PM Central, Joe will introduce you to proper fiberglass repair in his webinar, Fiberglass Repair Techniques. Click here for more information and to register for class.

Joe will discuss various projects and scenarios, defining the proper methods to employ and materials to use.  He will also provide guidelines for knowing when it makes sense to call a professional.  Topics will include basic fiberglass repair methods, materials options, dock damage, gel coat crack repair, core repair or replacement, and thru hull hole fill in both solid and cored hulls. Whether you plan to take on a large fiberglass repair project or simply would like to understand some basics should you need to make your own emergency repairs, this class is for you.
