2010 Harbor Report Updates Now Available
The 2010 Harbor-Report printed update package is now available for purchase on the GLCC web site.
Go to www.glcclub.com/store/ (you may have to “sign-in” if you haven't been on the web site in a while). On the left side of the page, click on "Purchase Harbor Report Packages" and choose the “Complete 2010 Update Package.” Just click on “add to cart” and proceed to checkout.
Alternatively, you can phone the GLCC office to place a credit-card order (810-984-4500), or mail a check to the office in Port Huron.
As a special offer from our website, the update package is available printed in full color for $60 (US), plus shipping/handling of $6 (US) and $30 (Canadian). (Apologies to our Canadian members, but that's the actual shipping cost—no profit built in!)
Normal full-color price is $139, plus shipping/handling, so this is an exceptional value. We are not offering the black-and-white version of the update package at this point, since the price is only $3 less and you will find the full-color version of the updates much better. The black-and-white version will be available later in the year, at $57.40.
Click here for a list of the harbor reports included in the 2010 package.
Update packages ordered by February 1 will be printed and shipped in approximately 2 weeks.
Note that the update package reports are also available in PDF format on a cd-rom, rather than printed, for $25 which includes shipping and handling. Order through the GLCC "On-Line Shopping" web page.
Although many members will prefer to print their own selection of harbor reports from the web page, 100% of the LogBook's harbor reports are also available for ordering in printed form in the GLCC store, at a cost of $0.70 per report for black-and-white and $1.60 per report for full-color, plus shipping and handling. Since our new printing method is “print-on-demand,” you can order any combination of reports that you'd like.
Finally, the LogBook Committee wants you to understand that the conversion from our old printed-format to the new web-page-printed format is not totally finished, and you may notice a few peculiarities in formatting. The committee is continuing work on refining the format—rest assured that all the information is there and the harbor reports are as reliable as ever.
And don't forget that the new web-page reports are always available on-line for reading and up-dating. All members should feel obliged and honored to submit updated information in the “comment” section at the end of each web-page harbor report.
Best wishes for a great 2010 cruising season.
