The North Channel Wilderness Rally is scheduled for 31 July through the morning of 3 August, in the East-West Channel of McGregor Bay.
The final agenda is yet to be decided and, like all such events, must be flexible to account for unexpected weather conditions. However, we expect as full a set of activities as weather will permit.
We will undoubtedly plan for an informal cocktail/wine-and-cheese party on shore the evening of July 31. And on the final evening, there will be a potluck dinner on shore with a bonfire and songfest. Again weather may require some adjustments, particularly for shore events.
We also hope to repeat the roving happy-hour party that was such a success last year.
Finally, during the daylight hours, we hope to have dinghy races, theme decorations, dinghy trips, hiking expeditions, and other activities yet to be determined. We also expect that the knitting group will have activities as well. Those who desire to be busy will not want for things to do. And those who want to just relax and enjoy the beauty of McGregor Bay or go off on your own adventures, you are certainly encouraged to do so. Everything is purely voluntary and because your registration fee does not cover any particular activity, you don't have to feel compelled to do anything except what you think you might enjoy.
For those who have never been to McGregor Bay, this is an opportunity to see and explore one of the North Channel's most beautiful and unspoiled areas. For those who have experienced McGregor's charm and beauty, we hope you will come back and join us. Every year brings new experiences and the opportunity to meet and make new friends.
Those who sign up and pay their registration fee will receive a 2009 Wilderness Rally burgee to add to your collection. For further information contact Mel Durchslag or Alan Springer.

Ron, If you try to download the registration form from the link it comes back with page not found. It has the /node/ in the IP address and if you delete that the form comes up. The same thing happens with the GLCC Store link. MK
