Tug Sinks in St. Mary's River near Sault St. Marie

If passing through the St. Mary's River near Sault St, Marie note that a 500-foot safety zone has been established around the tug Hammond Bay which sank July 1st in 37 feet of water. Plans are being formulated to raise the vessel. For more information click this article in the Detroit Free Press.

Several GLCC boats were at Kemp Marina, when this U.S. Army Corps of Engineers tug was first reported missing and then found. Everybody were wondering how it happen.
