The Nature Conservancy and the Ontario Government have published an interesting study of biodiversity problems in the Great Lakes islands. Included in the report is a list of the top-ten threatened islands, including Manitoulin Island,  Grosse Isle,  Kelleys Island, and Drummond Island, among others.
