We want to welcome you to join us and participate in the upcoming 2011 Mackinac Island sailing season. We have a great array of events planned for this year. Whether you are a skipper, crew member, or a supporter we invite you to participate in all of these events and festivities.

                                 Mackinac Island Regatta Schedule

July 3, 2011 - The Pink Pony Fourth of July Regatta

This annual event sponsored by the Pink Pony and Chippewa Hotel, is open to all sailboats. This is a fun, family event with prizes awarded to each participating boat. There is no entry fee. An awards party following the race is held on the outside deck of the Pink Pony. The Skippers Meeting will be held at Mackinac Island Yacht Club at 12:30 PM with a race start at 2:00 PM.

July 20, 2011 - Round The Island Race - Chicago Mac Race Week

Mackinac Island Yacht Club will be hosting the Fourth Annual Round The Island Race. The first start will be at 1:00 PM.  This race will be a fun event open to all boats. Boats may sail either all out or jib and main. Afterward, please join us at Windermere Point for the Awards Ceremony, food, drinks and lots of fun, camaraderie, and stories. Awards will include brag flags and trophies for class winners. The Madigan Trophy will be presented to the first overall monohull.

The race is sponsored and supported by Mackinac Island businesses and merchants. The entry fee of $60 will cover race registration, the family and crew party on Windermere Point, and free dockage on Wednesday night, courtesy of Arnold Transit. July 21- 23, 2011 - Mackinac Island to Manitoulin Island International Yacht Race

The 8th Annual Mackinac to Manitoulin Race starts off Mackinac Island on Thursday, July 21. The first leg of the MacMan Challenge takes racers to Gore Bay. There is an overnight layover in Gore Bay, with dinner and awards for the first leg. The final short leg of the race to Little Current will take place on July 23. Both communities provide a great deal of warm hospitality, parties and a fun racing venue. Enjoy the post-race party on Saturday, July 23, hosted by Little Current Yacht Club. September 3, 2011 - Horns Bar Labor Day Regatta

The annual Horns Bar Labor Day Regatta takes racers through the round the Island course. It is a fun event open to sailboats of all classes. There is no entry fee. An awards ceremony and party will be held following the race at Mackinac Island Yacht Club courtesy of Horns Bar and the Yankee Rebel Restaurant. The Skippers Meeting will be held at Mackinac Island Yacht Club at 1:30 PM with a race start at 2:30 PM.
