While it saddens me, I’m not that surprised the moose and wolf population continues to decline at Isle Royale. After all, both are invasive species on the Island, and it could be a reason why they don’t thrive that well in the local environment. The wolf has only been there about 60 years, and the moose a little while longer. The populations may not be sustainable.
